This analysis is the first to look at the entire coastline of the lower 48 states, and has identified hundreds of communities that will experience regular high-tide, sea-level-rise-caused, flooding so extensive and disruptive that it will force hard choices: either substantial investments to fortify against the rising tides, or relocation by affected residents and businesses. The analysis projects when specific communities can expect to see this degree of flooding and outlines how they can use this response time wisely.
