Sea Level Rise Public Meeting – Virginia Beach
Have an idea on how to stop flooding in Virginia Beach? The city and Old Dominion University researchers want to hear it.
Starting Dec. 4, Virginia Beach will host public meetings for residents to share their experiences with flooding and what they think can be done about it.
Seven meetings will take place through the end of January at various schools throughout Virginia Beach. Residents are encouraged to attend the meeting closest to them so researchers can better understand issues specific to an area.
All meetings are located to capture residents in the city’s major watersheds:
•Dec. 4 at Kempsville High School
•Dec. 6 at Cox High School
•Dec. 11 at W.T. Cooke Elementary School
•Jan. 17 at Landstown High School
•Jan. 22 at Kellam High School
•Jan. 25 at Princess Anne High School
•Jan. 29 at Bayside High School
