The Engineering Laboratory at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) in Gaithersburg, MD will be hosting a symposium featuring the 2016 Disaster Resilience Grant Research Program recipients. The symposium will be held at NIST on August 14-15, 2018.

The symposium will feature presentations from over a dozen grant awardees funded by NIST and some of the ongoing research from related NIST projects. Research topics will focus on disaster and failure studies, earthquake engineering, wind engineering, community resilience, and wildland-urban interface fires.
